| Alabama 5-0 now. Looks like a awesome year is in store..... Roll Tide | | |
| Weather is cooling off. Definitely my favorite time of the year. Still looking for some rain though. Dry and dusty around here. | | |
| It looks like that rain is finally here. Thank God! It has been a long time since it rained here. The last count that I heard was that it had not rained here in 27 days. We are DRY!
Some things that are on my mind right now (Drum rolls please) Deer season opens saturday! I have to drive to Columbia tommorrow. Opening up a business and if I can actually pull it off. What is on my list of things that I need to do that is inside. Finances Man there are a ton of things I am thinking about.
Take it easy while I get to work..........
| Well it was what I figured. I dont think that Lou Holtz was a bad coach. I think that USC is just that bad. It is kinda like a company that is not making any money. They fire the boss and bring in a new one in hopes of making money. They still don't make money with the new boss. The problem is that the quality of workers is sorry. They steal from the company and are lazy and dont do their job. With that kind of a problem there isnt a boss any where that can make them money. Hey USC......instead of firing the coach next time or making him"retire" how about fire the team and let the coach get something to work with........

| Football season is in full roar!!! I love this time of year. This weekend is an extremely important weekend in football for me. It is the second most important weekend. The first is the notorious rivalry weekend where the prestigious University of Alabama plays the dirt of the earth Auburn University. This particular weekend has both torn families straight down the middle and caused rioting in the streets in years past. Foes and friends gather around their black and white tvs in the back of the garage surrounded by posters of dale earnhardt and empty beer cans in anticipation of whether they won or lost money in the office pool. The rivalry weekend is an extremely powerful moving experience. This coming up weekend is growing more and more exciting each and every year for me. As i meet more and more "Gamecock" fans the excitement grows larger. Trash is being talked face to face as well as from the pulpit. Those that are on the side of the "Chicken on steroids" seem to have an unprecedented fervor for talking trash. They have what they say, called in the big dog. His name is known as Steve "Spur"rier. How do we know him? He coached a seemingly great team at the University of Florida. Come to think about it though...hmmmmmm..... A few years ago these same "people of the spur" brought in the "Big Dog". Shirts were printed and bumper stickers were made. They were so proud of the legend that they brought in to be the "caretaker of the coup". He was the future of Gamecock football. The most revered and distinguished "Champion" Lou Holtz. Where is he now? What is he doing? In a few years will the "Spur"rier be tending to the goats becasue he could not "make the chickens fight"? We will see this weekend how much of a hero the University of SC has pulled in when the University of Alabama rolls in on the tide of excitement and dashes the hopes of the hero. My prediction is this. It is going to be a tough game. It is not going to be a blow out. It will be close. In the end the Crimson Tide will be victorious and I will hang my head high as I kill one of my roosters and cook him on the grill in a post game celebration......
Oh what a great time of year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
